Local Church Planting
Christ Presbyterian Church is located in New Haven, Connecticut. Situated in scenic and vibrant southern New England between New York City and Boston on the Atlantic Ocean, New Haven is a thriving mid-sized city that is home to Yale University, CPC, and … opportunity!
With a population of 130,000 (860,000 in the metro area), New Haven is the second largest city in Connecticut and the sixth largest city in New England. Founded in 1638 by Puritans, the greater New Haven area is home to seven colleges and universities, one of the finest health care systems in the U.S., and is well known for its performing arts, museums, music, and great restaurants.
Together with two churches we have helped to plant elsewhere in Connecticut (Christ the Shepherd in Danbury and Trinity Grace Church in Suffield), we currently have four worshipping congregations in Southern Connecticut -- CPC New Haven, CPC in the Hill, CPC Fairfield, and CPC Wallingford -- with a fifth, CPC Milford, coming soon! The New Haven congregation, having been around for 25 years, is our most diverse congregation, with members of the Yale community and those of greater New Haven, while CPC in the Hill, CPC Fairfield, and CPC Wallingford largely draw from those living in their communities. Though most of our members live within 15 miles of each other, we represent a wide variety of thoughts, worship styles, family backgrounds, etc.
There are many more towns and neighborhoods of the greater New Haven community we would love to reach! Click here to view our local church planting prospectus.

Global Church Planting
Mission Anabaino also seeks out locations outside of greater New Haven and around the globe that are in need of more than a Total Christ church plant, but a church planting movement. Presently, MA is involved in a funding and leadership development mission in relation to church planting and empowerment projects in Mirebalais, Haiti. This exciting endeavor involves partnering with a church in South Florida and indigenous Haitian pastors to create a complex with a church, seminary, school, orphanage, and medical clinic; and includes economic empowerment projects helping to provide sustainable employment and dignity to the population in the surrounding area.
Other Possible Examples of Church Planting Movement Sites Globally:
Strategic global sites could be located in other states or countries that do not have access to a Total Christ church. These locations could be places where CPC alumni live, perhaps a college town given our experience, or destitute places in need of churches. It is important to state that CPC’s global vision is to establish sites that can become church planting movements (i.e. churches planting churches) rather than single church plants.
If you would like to discuss a potential site, please contact Annie McHugh.
